A DC atmospheric-pressure microplasma is used to pattern the surface of metal-salt laden polymer thin film to produce conductive features on the surface of the film. The conductivity is independent of the initial metal content in the film.

Monodispersed sub 5 nm diamond clusters synthesis has been achieved under ambient conditions in a gas phase using a DC microplasma. In-flight in situ control of purity of the synthesized particles have also been demonstrated

In this fundamental study we have demonstrated and quantified the reactions taking place at a plasma-liquid interface by decoupling the role of electrons from the plasma and reactive neutral species. The study also explored the role of background gases like N2, O2 and Ar.
